The car is an enigma. When you go to a car show you, of course, see rows and rows of '32 Peerlesses*, so everyone's seen them, right?
5 or 6 years ago, alsancle and edinmass and I on the AACA Forums had a discussion of what the car might be. There WAS a catalogue Master 8 Cabriolet...and there was a low mileage, fire-damaged Peerless Cabriolet at the Stelford Auction years ago. With enough scoops of inductive reasoning, one could lead us to this car via that path. This is not a Count Alexis de Sakhnoffsky-designed Hayes body like 95% of the 1930-1932 Peerlesses, because of no swoop to the bottom door edges. The owner 10 years ago(the late Ralph Cartonio) said he thought it was a Fleetwood or Fisher body.

Jeff, this is supposed to be a 31 Master Eight Cabriolet. Any thoughts on this one?

Every other year when in the Boothbay area we check out the museum up at Owl's Head & there is a great, multi floor antique dealer who focuses on gas & oil minutes from Boothbay. But, in all those years we have never checked out the RR museum. Maybe this year!
@alsancle appears smitten by the unusual body style (just what it takes to grab your attention AJ) enough to ignore colors and WWW! :)

I think it is cool Steve. Would be interested in knowing more about its history. A Peerless Custom Eight has always been on my list. A Master Eight Cabriolet or Coupe might be a good fallback.

SOME would have it that this is a questionable color combination.
But members of the court, please see exhibit A, being a 1931 Peerless offered on E-Bay in the same color combo. Don't pay any attention to the fact that this is a 1:18 scale diecast model...
